20 years Baoli

Impressive success story in only two decades

Milan, 19 April 2023 - Industrial truck manufacturer Baoli celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Founded in 2003 in Jingjiang, China, the company has become an important player in the global material handling market in only two decades.

An important milestone in the rapid development was the formation of the joint venture Kion Baoli Forklift Co., Ltd. in 2009, which made Baoli part of the KION Group - a leading global intralogistics group operating in more than 100 countries. Only one year later, the company was fully integrated into the KION Group. From then on, Baoli was able to steadily expand its product portfolio and extend its international presence far beyond Asia: in 2018, Baoli EMEA S.p.A. was established with headquarters in Milan, Italy. Baoli EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) is now represented in more than 50 countries by over 350 dealers. In the Americas, Baoli products are sold through KION North America and KION South America. The production facilities continue to be located in China: a plant in Jingjiang near Shanghai and a state-of-the-art plant in Jinan, which was opened at the end of 2021 and also includes a research and development centre. In addition, there is a central product and spare parts warehouse in Rolo, Italy.

As a result, Baoli is active in more than 80 countries worldwide and offers a large portfolio of forklift trucks and warehouse technology products through an extensive dealer network. The company stands for the production of solid and safe equipment that guarantees reliable and straightforward operation at affordable prices. Baoli's goal is to offer cost-effective products and solutions that provide exactly what the customer needs.

Practical industrial trucks with a good price-performance ratio

Baoli offers its customers a complete range of reliable industrial trucks, including 3- and 4-wheel electric forklifts with load capacities from 1.5 to 3.5 tonnes, diesel forklift trucks with load capacities from 1.5 to 10 tonnes and numerous warehouse trucks such as low and high lift pallet trucks. Additional new series of models will be launched in the coming months - also thanks to the new, state-of-the-art production facility in Jinan.

"Baoli is set to become one of the leading suppliers in the EMEA region in the entry-level industrial truck segment. We want to achieve a 'top of the mind' position here," says Christian Bischof, Managing Director of Baoli EMEA: "In future, anyone thinking of robust solutions for daily material handling with reliable and easy-to-operate equipment at entry-level prices should think of Baoli first and foremost." The reason for Bischof's optimism is that the entry-level segment is growing much faster than the rest of the market. And Baoli's advantages are evident, Bischof explains: "In our products, we combine European quality and technical experience with Chinese dynamism and cost-efficient production sites. This results in very competitive products that can stand up to any comparison worldwide in the entry-level industrial truck segment."

Baoli at LogiMAT 2023 in Stuttgart, Hall 10 - Stand C53

In order to present the portfolio to customers and interested parties at first hand, the company will be present at this year's LogiMAT in Stuttgart. Under the motto "Hands-on-Innovation - Connecting Smart Networks", the internationally renowned intralogistics trade fair will open the doors of the exhibition halls from 25 to 27 April 2023. With more than 1,500 international exhibitors in ten halls, it is considered the world's leading trade fair for intralogistics solutions and process management.

"At our stand, we will vividly demonstrate that we make it very easy for customers who are looking for reliable, easy-to-operate and easy-to-maintain industrial trucks for their daily work to make a purchasing decision," says Francesco Pampuri, Director Brand Marketing & Management at Baoli EMEA. Among the vehicles that Baoli will present at LogiMAT are the new KBE 25-35 series, the complete new KBS family and the new KBO.
